Staines Village Residents & Traders Association was formed in 2012 to serve the interests of the many residents and traders based in the Village. Managed by a committee of residents it takes a particular interest in planning developments, highways management and environmental issues as well as co-ordinating social activities.
Staines Village is the historic area of Staines centred on Church Street. It includes Church Island, the Staines riverside above Staines Bridge and the area around historic St Mary’s Church. It lies at the heart of the Staines Conservation area (first designated in 1975) and contains many buildings dating from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
